Contacting Us

The best way to contact us is via email at wholesale@nerdgirlyarns.com. Since we spend the majority of our time in the dye lab an email ensures we can get back to you when we are at the computer which sometimes isn’t until the evening hours.

How to Order

Active and open accounts may place an order online here at wholesale.nerdgirlyarns.com. You may choose to pay for your order via PayPal, major credit card, or can email us an order and we will send you an invoice.

If you would like to open an account with Nerd Girl Yarns please email us at wholesale@nerdgirlyarns.com to request an application.

Minimums/Maximums

Order minimums require two of each colorway for wool & silk blends (any yarn/fiber combination) with a minimum total order of $200 before shipping.

Cotton colorways require a minimum of four skeins per colorway (you can mix and match fingering/dk) and a $100 minimum cotton product order. Cottons can be ordered alone or in combination with wool & silk blend yarns as long as the cotton minimum is met.

Shipping

Shipping is estimated within the shop software and doesn't do a great job judging volume vs. dimensions. If there is a significant overcharge on shipping vs. actual cost when we ship, we will refund the difference. All orders are shipped insured. Any request to cancel and refund the cost of insurance prior to shipping will be at the customer's risk.

Payment

Payment is due at the time your order is placed. Orders cancelled after confirmation is made but before dyed will be subject to a 5% cancellation fee. Orders cancelled after dyed but before the order ships will be subject to a 25% restocking fee. Payment may be made with a PayPal account or credit card.

Custom Colorways

If you are interested in having a colorway developed, please email wholesale@nerdgirlyarns.com to discuss the possibilities. NGY reserves the right to bring custom colorways to festivals in which we vend that are in different regional areas than the shop that the custom colorway belongs to. Custom colorways will remain exclusive to the LYS for six months unless the shop has discussed longer terms with us.

The process to design custom colorways will take at least four weeks. We will send you our design for approval.

Order Completion Times

All yarns are dyed to order. Orders can take an average of 4 to 6 weeks depending on the size of your order. Your order may take longer if you are having custom colorways designed, if your order contains special order bases, or if your order exceeds 150 items.

While we try to keep our bare yarn stock levels high enough for most orders if you are planning to place a large order please contact wholesale@nerdgirlyarns.com to ensure stock is available or that we can order it in a reasonable time to complete your order. If you are placing a small order as a rush per customer request please contact us in advance to find out our current order volume. 

Returns

All orders may be canceled prior to confirmation by contacting wholesale@nerdgirlyarns.com. Orders cancelled after confirmation is made but before dyed may be subject to a 5% cancellation fee. Orders cancelled after dyed but before the order ships will be subject to a 25% restocking fee. 

Orders arriving with visible damage on the outside of the box should be brought to the attention of the delivery person immediately. Save all boxes and packaging material in case the delivery company wants to inspect them. If your order is damaged in shipping please contact us so we can assist you in making a claim. If your order does not arrive within a reasonable time according to tracking provided, please contact us to initiate a trace on the order.

We do not accept returns or exchanges unless there is a defect with the yarn. We check and double check orders before they ship but sometimes things happen. If it comes about we made a mistake in your order or there is a problem with the yarn then we will correct it. Your satisfaction with the yarn is our priority. Account Expiration

Accounts which have not placed an order within 12 months will be automatically disabled & their info removed from our retailers list to ensure we are serving our customers with the most recent and relevant information about where they can find Nerd Girl Yarns hand dyed yarns and fibers. If you find that your account has been disabled, please email us at wholesale@nerdgirlyarns.com to request reactivation.
