How to Order
Active and open accounts may place an order online here at wholesale.nerdgirlyarns.com. You may choose to pay for your order via PayPal, major credit card, or request to be invoiced at time of checkout.
In order to cut overhead costs and keep prices as low as we can for our customers, we request that you please use the online system to place your order. Customers who email their order instead of placing their order online will be subjected to a $10 administrative fee.

All orders are subject to a minimum of $200 before shipping.
Sock Stock is designed for to keep your stock new and fresh and a basket of hand dyed yarn ready for the impulse sock and shawl knitter/crocheter. Any two fingering/sock weight skeins in the same colorway with a minimum total order of $200 before shipping. Since this is designed as a stock filler we ask that you please limit your order to a maximum of 10 separate colorways.
Any other bases/fiber mix and match: Order minimums require four of each colorway (any base combination) with a minimum total order of $200 before shipping.
Sets: Sets have special handling. Their minimums are listed under their product info. Minimum total order of $200 before shipping applies.
Payment is due at the time your order is placed. Orders cancelled after confirmation is made but before dyed will be subject to a 5% cancellation fee. Orders cancelled after dyed but before the order ships will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. Payment may be made with a PayPal account or credit card.
If you are interested in having a colorway developed, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss the possibilities. NGY reserves the right to bring custom colorways to festivals in which we vend that are in different regional areas than the shop that the custom colorway belongs to. Custom colorways will remain exclusive to the LYS for six months unless the shop has discussed longer terms with us.
Order Completion Times
All yarns are dyed to order, we do not keep significant stock on hand. Orders can take an average of 4 to 6 weeks depending on the size of your order, smaller Sock Stock orders usually take about 14 business days. Your order may take longer if you are having custom colorways designed, or if your order contains special order bases. While we try to keep our bare yarn stock levels high enough for most orders if you are planning to place a large order please contact email@example.com to ensure stock is available or that we can order it in a reasonable time to complete your order. If you are placing a small order as a rush per customer request please contact us and we will expedite it as much as possible. If your order is expected to take longer than 6 weeks, we will contact you to confirm it before invoicing or capturing your payment.
We ship via FedEx and UPS Ground to wholesale customers.
All orders may be canceled prior to confirmation by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
Yarn may be returned within 30 days of purchase. Materials must be unused and in original condition in the hank. We require an email confirming the return and insured packages. We are not responsible for any packages lost in the mail. Please contact us at email@example.com for a return authorization. Contacting us with questions before placing your order helps to ensure that the item you purchase will meet your needs. Shipping cannot be refunded and all returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
Orders arriving with visible damage on the outside of the box should be brought to the attention of the delivery person immediately. Save all boxes and packaging material in case the delivery company wants to inspect them. If your order is damaged in shipping please contact us so we can assist you in making a claim. If your order does not arrive within a reasonable time according to tracking provided, please contact us to initiate a trace on the order.
We check and double check orders before they ship but sometimes things happen. If it comes about we made a mistake in your order or there is a problem with the yarn then we will correct it. Your satisfaction with the yarn is our priority.
Accounts which have not placed an order within six months will be automatically disabled & their info removed from our retailers list to ensure we are serving our customers with the most recent and relevant information about where they can find Nerd Girl Yarns hand dyed yarns and fibers. If you find that your account has been disabled, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request reactivation.
